About the Pose

A deep forward fold and shoulder-opening variation of Warrior I. Humble Warrior is a pose of surrender and release, stretching the hips and shoulders while cultivating a sense of humility.

How to Practice

  1. Start in Warrior I. Interlace your fingers behind your back.
  2. Inhale to lift your chest.
  3. Exhale and fold your torso forward, bringing your front shoulder to the inside of your front knee.
  4. Let your head hang heavy and reach your clasped hands up and overhead.

  • Deep Hip Opener: Stretches the hips and groins.
  • Shoulder Stretch: Opens the chest and shoulders by clasping the hands behind the back.
