Bikram Yoga
Bikram Yoga: The Original Hot Yoga
Bikram Yoga is a specific, fixed system of Hatha yoga consisting of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, performed in a room heated to 105°F (40.6°C) with a humidity of 40%. The style was developed by Bikram Choudhury.
The 26+2 Sequence
Every Bikram Yoga class, anywhere in the world, follows the exact same 90-minute sequence. This consistency is a hallmark of the style. The sequence is scientifically designed to work every part of the body, from the inside out.
What to Expect in a Class

- The Dialogue: Teachers guide the class using a specific, scripted dialogue.
- The Mirrors: Classes are practiced in a room with mirrors on the front wall to help students check their own alignment.
- The Challenge: The 90-minute class is both a physical and mental challenge.
