Cannabis Yoga is a modern practice that combines the consumption of cannabis with the practice of yoga. The intention is to use cannabis as a tool to enhance the mind-body connection, deepen physical sensation, and facilitate a more relaxed and introspective state.

What to Expect in a Class

  • Mindful Consumption: Classes usually begin with a communal (but individual) ritual of consumption, with an emphasis on using a small amount.
  • Gentle Styles: The yoga practice is almost always a slow, gentle style like Hatha, Slow Flow, or Restorative Yoga.
  • Focus on Sensation (Interoception): The teacher will guide students to pay close attention to the physical sensations in their bodies.
  • Longer Holds: Poses are often held for longer periods to allow for deeper release.
