About the Pose
The full expression of Pigeon Pose, this is a very deep backbend and quadriceps stretch. It requires significant flexibility in the hips, shoulders, and spine.
How to Practice
- This is a highly advanced pose. Start in a strong one-legged Pigeon Pose.
- Bend your back knee and reach back with one or both hands to catch the foot.
- Work on drawing the foot in towards the body and eventually flipping the grip to bring the foot to the head.
